Cepju Weyrhold
Weyrleader: M'ker on Bronze Kaelisth
Weyrwoman: Vacant
Population: ~100 Dragonriders ~200 Non-Riders
Notable Minor Craft Halls: Harper Craft Hall (I8 T356), Healer Craft Hall (I8 T415), Tarquin Craft Hall (I8 T445)
Cepju is located on the Western Continent of Pern. Originally, this continent was only examined by the Seacrafters that were blown far off course. It's discovery was similar to that of Southern.
Cepju Weyrhold has a series of stones nearby called the 'Singing Stones'. Lightly tapping on these stones results in a bell like sound. Those of the minecraft have never encountered such stones and often come to try and sort out the stones. None of them have been moved to the Minecraft Hall for study as they are far too heavy to lift. Due to the noise they make, a minor Harper Hall was erected here in I8 T356.
Here you can see all the Weyrs and Holds of Pern marked out, including Cepju Weyrhold.
The Western Continent is comprised of two large landmasses. Our primary area will be the Western Half where the Weyrhold is situated. Most of the Eastern Half is unmapped save for the shorelines. There also several smaller islands surrounding the Western Continent but most are unnamed. People who live in Cepju call the halves by what they are. Western Half and Eastern Half.
Cepju Weyrhold takes up a decent sized chunk of the Western Half (as you can see by the black circle on the map below). The Western Half is comprised of a various different geographical features. There are several mountains in the northern half that always have snow on their tips, between those, there are several valleys with minature lakes. There are at least two large lakes on the Western Half, one being a part of the Weyrhold. There are two large rivers that empty into the sea and allow ships to travel up towards the Weyrhold (often the way mass amounts of non-riders arrive).
There are two volcanoes on the Western Half that are actually active. Both are off limits to all but the most experienced of riders and travelers.
Cepju Weyrhold only uses a small portion of the inactive volcano which it is located in. While most of the tunnels have been mapped out and in use, there is still quite a big portion of tunnels that people can get lost within. Ground level has many empty caverns which can be used as rooms when needed but the primary rooms are always in use. One side of the river is primarily for Candidates, Weyrlings, the Hatching sands and the Feeding grounds while the other contains the bulk of the support staff. The upper levels of the Weyrhold have a large amount of caves used as weyrs for dragons and their riders but like the lower levels, most are vastly unused.
On the ground level, there are also four weyrs that are dedicated 'Goldrider' weyrs but only two are currently in use for Goldrider purposes. The other two are currently being inhabited by two Wingleaders. The individual rooms for the lower caverns staff are not drawn on the map but the tunnels leading to them are there.
Most of the artwork used on Cepju has been made for this site, however, we do use the dragon pixel bases created by Khiitan and modified badges that have been around for quite awhile.
