Cepju Weyrhold
Cepju was created by a gold rider that was being "banished" from her Weyr. Pern is not a place where War truly exists so it was considered the best option for everyone. People had been living in the area since the end of the last Pass but are primarily exiles like the gold rider. Dragonriders who come here are forced to find some way to take care of themselves as there are no Holds to supply goods. While the Weyrhold has lost most of it's 'negative' reputation, people are still sent there if they are trouble makers. Plus the old insults regarding Exiles still exist.
Crafts
Most of our Craft Halls are the same, but we do have some information regarding their views on Women. We do not have a Dolphincraft Hall but that may be added with time.
We also have a Wher/Firelizard Beastcrafthall located in Northern Pern. They primarily raise Whers but have recently branched off into breeding Firelizards.
Fax and the Seven Holds
In our timeline, Fax was never born. Due to this, there was never one Holder having Seven Holds. Each Hold maintains it's bloodline as rulers. This also means there was no Jaxom.
Greenriders, Blueriders and Brownriders
When it comes to impressing those three, anything is fair game. We allow girls on blues and browns but it's not an everyday occurence. History wise, women have only just started to impress greens again at Cepju and there is yet to be a Female Brown Rider on all of Pern. The only dragons we have here that are not impressible by both genders are Bronze and Golds.
Lessa, F'lar and the Discovery of AIVAS
Lessa was never born. Nor was F'lar. There was no Ramoth, no fight to kill a Lord Holder. Without Lessa, AIVAS was never discovered. In fact, Landing does not exist in our Pern.
Long Interval and Thread
Cepju Weyrhold was created during the Long Interval. Like Canon, the general populace have referred to Thread as nothing more then a child's nightmare. That means there are only a handful of people in various circles that are willing to believe it might be possible for it to return.
Weyrs Coming Forth Through Time
There was no Lessa so this never happened. This also means that the population of Benden did not become so isolated that there were abnormally sized dragons hatched (Ramoth for example). Because of the Weyrs remaining in their time, Southern became a Weyr nearly 500 Turns before Canon. Cepju Weyrhold was also created due to the number of dragons in existence (even if the golds slowed down).
Weyr Formation
In order of Creation
Fort 1st Pass
Benden 1st Pass
High Reaches 1st Pass
Telgar 1st Interval
Ista 1st Interval although used for mating Flights prior to 1st Interval
Igen Established during 2nd Interval, Reinhabited sometime prior to 6th Pass
Southern Beginning of the 8th Interval
Cepju Weyrhold Middle of the 8th Interval
Whers and Firelizards
We allow them but not as pets. While our timeline and knowledge is based on the 9th Pass based books, we do use information from an earlier based book for the Whers. Typically they're referred to as Watch-Whers or Mine-Whers depending on their job.
On the topic of Firelizards, if you live near a beach, you'll probably have seen one. And you'll probably have heard of someone having one. They're common along the southern shores of the Western Continent and Northern Continent and downright populous on the Southern Continent.
A Beastcraft Hall has sprung up in the Northern Continent to study the Firelizards and to raise Whers. It's not uncommon for someone to have a firelizard or to hear Watch-Whers or Mine-Whers.
