Congratulations you impressed!
That being said, your life now revolves around your dragon. You'll be expected to do everything in your power to help your dragon develop and grow. You also will not be focusing at all on any other being for at least a few months.
It will be some time before you can have relationships of any kind but until then, you will have this constant new companion with you always. Anything that affects you will also affect your dragon. So you need to keep that in mind, especially for the first few months. This also makes it clear that your life is nothing like it used to be.
It could be everything you expected but most often it's far beyond that. You've got new rules governing yourself and to disobey them could bring dire consequences.

Month One Every day is filled simply with feeding and caring for your dragon. You cannot stray far from the dragon as it is constantly in demand for food and general care. Your mind is also unused to the connection, even if you had a firelizard prior, that every little thing of the dragon can potentially overwhelm you. Luckily, you've got a massive support staff to help out for when there are problems. Near the middle of the month, things will calm down but otherwise, you're still swamped. You'll learn how to properly oil your dragon as well how to properly prepare food for one so young.
Month Two Now is where things start to calm down. Your dragon doesn't need you every second of the day, just nearly every second. Your lessons will begin again now but you'll usually be accompanied by your dragon. Most lessons will revolve around caring for your dragon but there will be some towards a dragon's eventual place in a Wing. These 'drills' will start off on the ground and gain in complexity until the dragon is strong enough to fly.
Month Three You will have more time for lessons now but your dragon will always be a focus in your mind. Mostly your lessons will continue those drills but you will also get the chance to learn more about your dragon and your dragon's place in the Weyr. You'll also learn about the size your dragon is expected to reach along with what is expected to happen during mating flights.
Month Four At this stage in your dragon's growth, you will get to have your first set of riding straps. You will be shown how to properly make them along with how to care for them. Following that, you will be fitted for your own rider gear.
Month Five You'll begin etiquette training now. How to behave amongst the other dragonriders and how best to approach Lord Holders. Some colors will have longer classes as they are more things expected of them (Gold riders for example). Those drills will also become more complex as you prepare for taking to the air for the first time. You'll also being basic dragonhealing so you know how to deal with the basic injuries your dragon may develop.
Month Six Your dragon, while not fully grown, is now capable of actually using those wings of his to do what he was always meant to do. Fly. These starting flights will only be small, haphazard kind of flights and fully supervised but you will finally get to fly on your dragon.
Month Seven You now spend some time apart from your dragon but this month is a monumentous occasion. You'll be given at least one free day through the month to go and choose your own weyr. You won't be moving in for several months and cannot move in with another dragonrider but you can choose your own.
Month Eight You've gained enough skill with flying on your dragon that you and your fellow Weyrlings will be given tasks with flying. Generally these errand flights are as simple as carrying something from Weyr to hold or delivering objects from one end of the Weyr to the other.
Month Nine The Ninth month, your dragon is finally capable of hunting on it's own. You'll no longer have to haul chunks of meats around which is probably a relief for the cooking staff. It's also this point that goldriders start to have completely separate classes then their fellows. They'll also sit in with the Weyrwoman during important affairs and take lessons on how to properly handle being a Weyrwoman (as each gold has that potential).
Month Ten This is the first time you'll go between with your dragon. You've had all the warnings up until now but it'll all be repeated before you take that first flight. You'll also get to move into your weyr now as that flight between is one of the many steps to proving you're a fully capable Rider.
Month Eleven At this point you and your dragon will be judged to see if you are capable of handling a mature relationship. Nearly everyone is ready at this point but some (including those that impressed young) will not be given the green light to have relationships. You'll also start practicing those ground drills in the air.
Month Twelve Another monuementous event, you get to begin flame training. This will take a while and you won't be permitted to flame while in groups but at least you're beginning to learn that thing that makes all dragons a fearsome sight. You'll spend the entire month learning how to properly flame on the ground, once you've grasped it fully, you'll practice flaming on the ground.
Month Thirteen It's on to flaming while in the air. You'll also learn how to adjust to "refueling" in the air. That is, you'll swap empty bags of firestone for full ones. Near the end of the month, you'll start training with flame while in groups.
Month Fourteen You're now working on flaming while training those drills. There will be accidents but for the most part, everyone will have it down correctly by the end of the month.
Month Fifteen During this month, the Weyrling Master will bring in specialist Riders to help bring the differences of them to the attention of the Weyrlings. Sweepriders, Watchriders, Searchriders and more.
Month Sixteen Wingleaders will sit in during a few classes to get a good opinion of the strengths and weaknesses of the Weyrlings. They will often decide who they are taking into their Wings at this point.
Month Seventeen Upon this month, you're nearly ready for graduation. You'll go through a customary test of the previous month's knowledge to see how well you can cope. Should you pass, at the end of the Month, you'll be given your Wing Assignments.
Month Eighteen Weyrling Graduation, you'll become a fully functioning member of the Weyr. At this point, you'll get to enjoy a party and then move to full Rider status. Some riders may have even be chosen for special jobs within the Weyr depending on how they performed during their training.
